Go to the refugee camp on the eastern edge of the settlement shown on the map. Enter during Hai hour, 21:00–23:00 in-game time, and approach the people gathered inside to begin the campaign.

After the conversations in the refugee camp, follow the objective toward the heroes' camp. Walk through the tents to the group gathered around the cooking fire, then speak with the people there to continue the story.

Speak with Meng Kuan beside the cooking fire when the objective asks about the departure time. Continue the conversation to start the departure scene. When control returns, you will be playing as Ding Xiao inside the Jin camp.

Follow the path past the braziers into the military camp. Ding Xiao is looking for a way into the armory, so start by questioning the soldiers gathered around the table inside the camp.

Speak with Sun Daqiang (孫大牆) at the soldiers' table and choose Pay Du's Debt (替杜砌銀還錢). He will tell you about the armory key. Finish the conversation before continuing farther into the camp.

Speak with Wang Xiaoxiao (王小小) beside the wooden gate. When the dialogue options appear, choose Soften Your Tone (放緩語氣), then finish the conversation.

Continue the camp conversations until the objective asks you to follow the old man carrying a body. Stay with him as he enters the covered shelter, then speak with him beside the body to learn what he needs.

Choose Put Away Your Sword and Help (收劍幫忙) when the corpse-bearer asks for assistance. Later, choose Open Up (吐露心聲). Finish the conversation to receive the armory key, then leave the shelter for the next objective.

Return to the main camp and meet Xiao Heyi beside the soldiers at the wooden entrance. Finish the conversation, then use the armory key to enter the Jin armory and begin looking for the route to its lower level.

Ding Xiao's mechanical gauntlet can stun guards and operate mechanisms from a distance. Move through the armory using the covered crate stacks as cover. Activate the gauntlet, aim at a guard until the target is highlighted, and use the displayed fire action to stun him before continuing past his position.

Find the wooden wall with the horizontal viewing slot. Aim the gauntlet at the small wooden box blocking the center of the slot and use Break (擊碎) to shatter it. Aim through the cleared opening at the round mechanism behind it and use Activate (激活). This opens the nearby iron doorway so you can reach the lift.

Go through the opened iron doorway and step onto the small wooden lift platform with railings. Use Start (啟動) and wait for the progress bar to finish. Stay on the platform as it descends, then leave it through the lower-floor corridor.

Leave the lift and follow the lower corridor past the covered stacks and weapon racks. Continue through the large open doorway between the hanging fire baskets to reach the central storage hall. Once you are inside, continue toward the southern objective.

Once you reach the large storage hall, head south between the empty weapon racks and the covered stacks. Examine the marked item beside the brazier, then continue toward the southern objective to finish Ding Xiao's investigation.

When control returns to your own character, ride with the allied group along the wooded path toward the Hutuo River bridge. Stay on the route with the other riders and continue through the bridge-arrival scene.

When the battle switches to combat on foot, defeat the soldiers blocking the route through the burning camp. Keep moving toward the bridge and clear the enemies on the wooden planks until the allies can regroup at the bridgehead.

Follow Xiu along the damaged bridge to the nearby boat. Collect the three supplies marked by golden glows, checking that the objective counter reaches 3/3. When the objective changes, return to the bridgehead and continue the conversation about crossing the river.

After the crossing scene, keep fighting the enemy reinforcements on the damaged bridge while the others move across. Defeat the marked elite soldiers and continue the story until the riders are ready to cross the river.

Ride forward across the wooden crossing once the allies have formed a human bridge. Stay with the group and continue to the far bank, where the next mounted combat section begins.

Continue riding on the far bank and use your deflect action against incoming arrows. A successful deflect against a powerful arrow sends a counterattack back for heavy damage. Keep using those counterattacks to finish the mounted encounter and continue into the courtyard.

Fight Xiao Han on foot in the burning courtyard. Deflect or dodge his attacks, then strike during his recovery. When the Blood Clash (血決) interaction prompt appears, use the button shown on screen to complete it. Keep fighting until the story advances.

After the fight, continue through the final story sequence and complete the interaction prompts when they appear. Let the ending return you to the refugee camp. The Hutuo River replay unlocks when the campaign completion message appears.
