Controls & Menu

Press H → Abilities → Mystic Skills, or Esc → Develop → Abilities → Mystic Skills. Choose General, Movement or Offensive at the top.

General & Movement

General and Movement techniques use dedicated controls instead of Offensive slots. Wind Sense is a Basic Talent included here because you use it throughout exploration. Story lessons and exploration unlock more techniques.

Wind Sense: Find People and Clues

Hold V to scan.

If you reach a quest marker but cannot find the person or object, activate Wind Sense and turn the camera to spot highlighted targets. Approach the target and read its interaction prompt. An injured person can show Heal; another target may offer an inspection or item interaction.

The opening story introduces Wind Sense through the Blade Out talent. Open that talent → View Tutorial to review the lesson.

Wind Sense highlights nearby people and objects against muted surroundings.

Abyss Dive: Dive and Surface

Alt to dive down; Space to swim up.

Abyss Dive is available from the start in designated deep-water areas, including Crimson Cliff. Descend to explore, then surface before your breath runs out. If no diving prompt appears, that stretch of water may not support diving.

Movement → Diving: the PC tutorial shows Alt to descend and Space to ascend.

Mighty Drop: Land and Break Cracked Floors

Jump with Space, then press Q while airborne.

Mighty Drop sends you straight down and can break cracked floors. The basic move is available from the start.

For fall-damage protection, unlock Safe Mighty Drop by clearing Mysterious Outpost in western Moonveil Mountain, Qinghe, for the first time. It adds immunity to fall damage and landing-related Disease while using the move. Walking off a cliff still counts as a normal fall.

Safe Mighty Drop adds fall-damage protection to the airborne move.

The circled red outpost in western Moonveil Mountain is Mysterious Outpost. Its first-clear reward unlocks Safe Mighty Drop.

Lightness Skills: Take Flight

Hold Space to launch, then press Space when the flight timing prompts appear.

To fly, you need both a learned flight style and permission for the current region. In Qinghe, track Afterglow through Journal → Exploration → Qinghe → Jianghu Legacy. Complete its flight lesson and boat-jumping trial to learn Meteor Flight.

Next, open the Exploration level beneath Qinghe’s name on Map and claim Afterglow Pendant from the Level 4 reward. Quests, chests and outposts earn the Exploration points you need. This permission applies to Qinghe; Kaifeng uses its own Flight Medallion.

Select your learned style under Movement → Lightness Skill, then use the launch control above.

Open the Exploration level beneath the region name on the map to see its reward track.

Afterglow Pendant is the Qinghe Level 4 reward shown here. Its description grants regional use of Grand Lightness Skill and Wallstride.

Offensive

These occupy Mystic Skill slots, separate from your weapon skills. The Offensive tab also includes techniques for protection and puzzle interactions.

Common Skills and How to Equip Them

Select a learned skill → Deploy (Space) → choose a slot. Use the number shown beside it on your HUD.

Learning an Offensive skill does not put it on your HUD automatically. Deploy it in an unlocked slot first, then use the assigned control shown beside its HUD icon. For a locked skill, open its details to find the learning source.

Equip a Learned Skill: Select the skill, choose Deploy and assign a slot. The example below shows Meridian Touch selected and the equipped slots on the left. The comparison afterward helps you choose which technique to learn next.

Useful Offensive Skills

Cloud Steps	Jump to marked spots in exploration, or stomp on an enemy in combat.	Use Mighty Drop on the cracked paving west of General’s Shrine; follow the underground passage to the book on a corpse.
Lion’s Roar	Damage a group of nearby enemies with a wide-area roar.	Ring Qinghe’s four copper bells: two near General’s Shrine, one near Buddha Fort and one south of Wraith Village.

Tai Chi: Redirect and Move

Follow the opening Qinghe story to the bear reaching for honey. Complete the Skill Theft timing lesson to learn Tai Chi, which redirects eligible attacks and moves certain puzzle objects.

Space · Start Skill Theft begins the bear’s timing lesson.

Meridian Touch: Release or Seal Acupoints

Find Yan Qiren among the training figures at General’s Shrine. Follow the Meridian Touch quest and trial prompt to unseal his acupoints and learn the skill.

Use it for acupoint interactions with people or puzzles. In combat, it can immobilize ordinary enemies and break Vital Spots; mighty enemies resist immobilization.

The blue-book Meridian Touch quest marker is west of the opening story area in Qinghe.

Contortion: Shrink Into Hidden Spaces

Contortion shrinks your character so you can enter narrow spaces and reach hidden treasures. Learn it in Qinghe before trying to collect a Miniature Treasure.

Learn and Equip Contortion

At character level 10, track Tiny Adventure: Part I to Elder Zhan near Qinghe Prison in Riverside Station. Watch his demonstration and use the skill during the prison tasks to finish the quest.

Deploy Contortion under Mystic Skills → Offensive. Activate it to shrink; activate it again to return to normal size. While small, you cannot use weapon attacks, climb, ride or swim.

Miniature Treasure Marker

This white symbol marks a Miniature Treasure on the minimap or above its hiding spot. Use Contortion to reach it. Some spots also require a puzzle interaction, such as following a signpost’s instructions.

Contortion also helps you collect Special Oddities, which use their own collectible markers.

Celestial Seize: Retrieve Items at a Distance

Learn Celestial Seize before taking the boat to Kaifeng. Find Qiu Yuehai at Heaven’s Pier early in Qinghe’s story, or at Harvestfall Village after the story progresses. If the main story asks you to learn the skill, follow that objective’s current map marker.

Start Foul Play. During Qiu Yuehai’s lesson, aim at the marked target and choose Take Item to obtain the Nullifying Pill. Challenge Hu Wei to the drinking contest, then return to Qiu Yuehai to finish the quest and unlock Celestial Seize.

Use the skill to take eligible objects from a distance, including items carried by people. Check the target’s item list and success chance first; a failed grab can alert them.

Foul Play at its early Heaven’s Pier location. If Qiu Yuehai has moved to Harvestfall Village, follow the current quest marker instead.

Qiu Yuehai is the NPC to speak with for Foul Play.

What’s Stopping You?

I Learned a Flight Skill but Cannot Fly

Select the learned flight style under Mystic Skills → Movement. Then check the current region’s Exploration rewards and claim its flight keepsake. Afterglow Pendant applies to Qinghe; Kaifeng uses Flight Medallion.

I Still Take Damage from a Fall

Check whether Safe Mighty Drop is unlocked under Movement. Clear Mysterious Outpost for its first-clear reward, then use the airborne drop control before landing.

An Offensive Skill Is Missing from My HUD

Open Develop → Abilities → Mystic Skills → Offensive, select the learned skill and use Deploy. Place it in an unlocked slot and check that the HUD is showing that skill set.

I Cannot Dive Here

Swim into a designated diving area, such as the diveable water at Crimson Cliff. Look for Dive Down and Surface Up on the swimming HUD. Abyss Dive does not make every river or pond diveable.
