Continue the scroll, then complete Whitecrown Fortress and Ten Through the Pass to reach Liangzhou. The first boss encounter sends you outside to collect five military flags before the final battle.

Enter Whitecrown Fortress

Track Whitecrown Fortress under Quest → Lost Chapter → Campaign. Approach the white beam outside the fortress and speak with the soldier to enter.

Investigate the city's secrets

Go through the fortress to the first encounter with the Grand Protector of Anxi. Continue fighting until the story sends you outside. This is the required transition into the flag search.

This first encounter ends by sending you outside. Collect the flags before returning.

Look for scattered military flags

Collect all five flags around Jade Gate Pass. Track Whitecrown Fortress so their distance markers appear while exploring. The locations below are separate stops; you can collect them in any order.

The fortress and surrounding desert are separate from the final boss arena.

Flag: Howling Sands Outpost

Go to Howling Sands Outpost, west of the fortress. Climb the main building to the flag on its roof; the flag is above ground level.

Flag: northern Straying Steed Sands

Go to the settlement north of the Straying Steed Sands label, just north of the nearby Boundary Stone (opens in a new tab). Find the flag on the low ruined wall shown below.

Flag: the dry well

From Whitecrown Fortress, go northwest to the dry well outside its walls. Interact with the flag beside the well.

Flag: Squarewall Hold Ruins

Go to the ruins shown on the map. The flag is beside a fallen soldier at the base of the crumbling wall, near the barrels.

Flag: west of Lost Crossing

Travel west of Lost Crossing to the twisted tree beside the broken wall. Defeat the nearby enemy and collect the flag.

Touch Military Flag

Return to Whitecrown Fortress after collecting all five flags. Touch the flag inside to enter the defenders’ memories.

Return to the burning fortress and touch the marked flag.

Check the situation at the Grain Tower

Go into the tower and approach the soldiers.

Follow the soldier to the table

Follow the soldier to the writing table and finish the conversation.

Follow the soldier to the table inside the Grain Tower.

Hand over the family letter to Yuan Ping'an

Take the finished letter to Yuan Ping’an at the marked spot.

Head to the second floor to investigate

Go upstairs and continue toward the military flag.

Find the military flag

Use the floating debris to cross the gap. Follow the Cloud Steps prompts to reach the flag on the other side.

Use the suspended debris to reach the flag above the fire.

Touch the next military flag

Touch the flag to advance into the siege.

Reverse Bridge

Use Cosmic Reversal on the broken crossing to restore the route.

Restore the crossing with Cosmic Reversal.

Defeat the siege monsters

Operate the ballista and shoot the flying enemies. Continue to the next ballista when directed and finish the remaining targets.

Use the ballista to bring down the flying siege monsters.

Get across the bridge

Restore the next bridge with Cosmic Reversal, then cross to the defenders.

Restore the next broken span and cross to the wall.

Assist the defenders in defeating enemies

Defeat the attackers on the wall, then speak with the wounded soldier.

Help the soldiers clear the attackers from the wall.

Find the final military flag

Cross the suspended rubble to reach the last flag. Continue to its placement point in the arena.

Follow the suspended rubble to the final flag.

Place the flag in the arena. The boss introduction begins immediately afterward.

Place the collected flag to start the final encounter.

Defeat Guo Xin

Fight the Grand Protector of Anxi, then continue against his second form, the Iron-Blooded Prince. Save healing for the second phase and watch for the wider sweeps of his glowing weapon.

Track Ten Through the Pass and return to the soldier at the white beam. After Whitecrown Fortress, the conversation lets you continue through the pass.
