Travel through the cabin painting to Hexi, complete the old man's desert journey, then return to the Leaping Fish Scroll.
Complete the "In the Quiet of Night" Lost Chapter.
Inside the abandoned cabin at Bamboo Abode, examine the painting hanging straight ahead. Open the door after the room changes, then board the ship outside. The voyage takes you to Hexi.
Look for the thing from the Dream.
At the broken crossing, hold Tai Chi (opens in a new tab) on the highlighted object to use Cosmic Reversal. Cross to the camp and collect the torn map. Continue past Celestial Spring Station Boundary Stone (opens in a new tab) to the stranded ships.
Defeat the Utuk Raptor at the wreck and restore the Flickering Fragments. Hand the map to the old man, then accompany him into the sandstorm.
Activate Wind Sense (opens in a new tab) to reveal his footprints. Follow them, clear the enemy birds and restore the nearby fragments. Continue with him to the giant stranded boat.
Restore the fragments to begin the fight against Utuk Raptors and an Utuk Vanguard. Afterward, take over the drum from the old man. Collect the Ownerless Luggage lying on the sand to finish Desert Without Sails.
Investigate the Fish Tank.
Open the Painting Interface.
Inspect the Leaping Fish Scroll.
Continue to the Wayfarer (opens in a new tab) after the desert journey. At the fish tank, select Unroll the Scroll to return to the Leaping Fish painting and continue the main story.
