Levels & Breakthrough

Main Menu → Three Dots Beside The EXP Bar → Level & EXP

Earn Character EXP through quests, combat, gathering and open-world exploration. Open the three dots beside the main-menu EXP bar → Level & EXP to check your level, cap and stored experience.

At the cap, extra EXP is saved. After a Breakthrough raises the cap, that stored amount is released gradually as you continue earning EXP.

Main Menu → Solo Mode → Upgrade

If your character has reached the cap, increase your Solo Mode tier to keep leveling. In the main menu, find Solo Mode beneath your portrait and EXP bar. Select Upgrade at the right end to check the next tier.

Read Breakthrough Requirements for the required Character Level, trial or countdown. Complete the conditions shown for your next tier.

Breakthrough also increases enemy strength and rewards. If fights already feel slow, use Combat Upgrades (opens in a new tab) to check your weapons and Martial Arts (opens in a new tab) before raising the tier.

Main Menu → Wandering Paths → Taiping Mausoleum → Foundation Trials

If a Foundation Trial is required, select the chapter or floor named in your Breakthrough Requirements. Inside, defeat the enemy waves before the countdown ends. The left side of the screen shows your current wave and that chapter’s objectives.

After clearing the required trial, return to Solo Mode → Upgrade. Once every requirement is complete, choose Breakthrough at the bottom right: Space on PC, Cross (X) on PS5 or A on Xbox. Confirm if prompted.
