Gear Sources
Your two weapons and armor pieces contribute character attributes, with further gains from slot enhancement. Find replacement gear in exploration rewards, challenges and seasonal shops. For resources used to strengthen it, see Upgrade Materials (opens in a new tab).
Controls & Menu
Press Esc → Season → Shop. Use the categories on the left to open Gear Chest or Season Catch-up. Press B to open purchased chests in Bag.

Inspect a chest’s gear tier, contents and unlock requirement before buying. These chests cost Jade Fish, earned through quests and activities.
A set-selection chest may let you choose the set but award a random piece from it. Read its description, open the purchase in Bag and make your selection. Compare and equip the reward under Develop → Gear.
Season Catch-up: Gear and Upgrade Supplies
Scroll down the shop menu to Season Catch-up. Purchases cost Trace Jade; open a product to check its gear or material tier.
- Replace Older Gear
Preview a Gear Catch-up Chest’s tier and contents, then buy and open it in Bag. Compare the reward with your equipped piece.
- Cover Upgrade Costs
Custom Martial Note Chests supply notes; Howling Ore, Oscillating Jade – Trace and Ebon Iron serve gear development. Coin bundles cover coin costs. Match the full material name and tier to your upgrade panel.
- Get Trace Jade
Complete quests and weekly Engagement activities that award it. You can also recycle eligible older development materials, such as low-level Attunement Stones and Tuning Stones. The recycle preview shows the return before you confirm.
Explore and Clear Challenges
Collect chest and enemy drops as you explore, and check quest rewards for equipment. Before spending Energy on a challenge, inspect its available gear sets and claim cost.
- Outposts While Exploring
Open Journal → Exploration → Outpost to find and track an uncleared location. Clear the enemies and collect the rewards. For repeatable gear rewards, open Wandering Paths → Challenges → Outpost Challenge and check the rewards and Energy cost.
- Campaign Challenge
Open Main Menu → Wandering Paths → Challenges → Campaign Challenge. Select an unlocked boss and open its reward boxes to inspect gear drops. Check the tier and Claim Cost before entering.
- Group Challenges
Open Wandering Paths → Challenges, then select Sword Trial or Hero’s Realm. Choose an unlocked difficulty and inspect its reward chests. These are additional gear routes when you want multiplayer content; the activity shows its entry requirements and reward limits.
What’s Stopping You?
The Chest Is Locked or Sold Out
Select it to read the unmet condition or refresh timer. An available Campaign or Outpost challenge is another gear source if you have Energy. Quest and exploration rewards are useful while progressing toward the next shop unlock.
The Chest Gave Me Armor Instead of a Weapon
Some chests select a set but randomize the equipment slot. Check the remaining chest descriptions for a slot-selection option. A weapon is only guaranteed when the reward or chest explicitly offers that slot.
