Board the Wooden Chicken

Approach the completed machine beside Feng and use its boarding interaction. Get onto the pilot position before the flight begins.

The completed Wooden Chicken is next to Feng at the launch point.
The launch point is at the story marker on Shenze’s eastern shore.

Pilot the Wooden Chicken up to the Gasping Cliff

Steer toward the story diamond high above the cliff. Keep the destination in view as the machine climbs. If you leave the flight route, the PC HUD offers Return to the Quest Point with K. Continue through the crash scene at the waterfall.

Use Celestial Seize to retrieve the fragment

After the crash, go to the tree beside the waterfall. The fragment's story diamond is among its branches, near Feng. Select Celestial Seize (opens in a new tab) and retrieve the marked fragment, then continue the scene at the tree.

Heal Feng Jisheng

Feng is seated against the tree beside the large fallen wooden door. Use Wind Sense (opens in a new tab), select Feng and enter treatment. Complete his treatment, then finish the conversation and follow him onward to the entrance used in Mountain Unveiled (opens in a new tab).
