Open Mail from the main menu, then select the Inbox letter sent by Yingying. The letter's heading is your character's name, shown as Rinue in this screenshot. Yingying says she has news about Water Lady and asks you to meet her at Incomparable Tavern. Read the letter, then return to the game to continue with Go to Incomparable Tavern.

Open the Kaifeng map and select the Main South Gate Boundary Stone (opens in a new tab), just inside the middle gate on the city's southern wall. Choose Teleport (Space in the PC layout shown), then head north along South Gate Avenue to the gold story marker at Incomparable Tavern. Enter the tavern; Yingying is upstairs.

Take the stairs beside the main hall to the upper wooden gallery. Yingying is waiting beside the railing at the top; approach her and use the interaction prompt (F on the PC layout shown).

Continue along the upper gallery toward the sound cue. Turn on Wind Sense (opens in a new tab) if you lose the cue, then follow it around the corridor to the conversation at the table. Finish the tavern conversation with Yingying and Master Jin; the mechanical bird leads the next part of the route.
