Upgrade Materials

Upgrade materials vary by type and tier. Martial Arts (opens in a new tab) need different training items, while gear enhancement uses its own resources. Select a material in an upgrade cost to open How to Obtain: the list on the left shows its shops, activities and gathering routes.

Controls & Menu

Press H → Abilities → Martial Arts (opens in a new tab) → your style → Upgrade or Break Through. Select a missing material in the cost row to open How to Obtain.

Read the Missing Item’s Source List

Select each missing item to check its full name, required quantity and sources. One upgrade may need both a path-specific Martial Arts (opens in a new tab) note and a common enemy drop, obtained from different places.

Choose a Shop or Activity for Materials

Shops offer bulk purchases within their stock limits. Listed challenges provide rewards at an Energy cost.

Season Shop [Quick Bulk Restock]

Open Main Menu → Season → Shop for bulk purchases of blue-rarity materials and above. Match the item or chest’s contents to your material and tier, then set a quantity within your currency balance and available stock.

Products marked Weekly restock each week. Open purchased selection chests in Bag to choose your materials.

Campaign Challenge

Open Wandering Paths → Challenges → Campaign Challenge, or select Campaign - Challenge in the material’s How to Obtain list. Inspect an unlocked boss’s reward boxes for your note and check the Energy cost. A reward multiplier, where offered, can reduce the number of clears by spending more Energy at once.

Season Catch-up

Open Season → Shop → Season Catch-up (opens in a new tab) and preview a Custom Martial Note Chest. Exchange Trace Jade, then open the chest in Bag to select your note.

Find the Enemies That Drop Your Material

Match the material’s full name and tier to its source enemy group. Defeat those enemies and collect their drops until you have the amount required by your upgrade.

Find Gear Enhancement Materials

Select the missing item in Enhance and choose a listed gathering location or merchant. Use Wind Sense (opens in a new tab) to spot resources in the indicated area. At a merchant, check the price and remaining stock before buying.

What’s Stopping You?

The Shop Is Sold Out and I Have No Energy

Return to the item’s source list and check its other entries, including any conversion option. If none is available with your current resources, keep the material name for your next shop refresh or Energy refill. Your other equipped style or gear slots may use different materials you already own.

I Bought a Chest But Still Have a Shortage

Open the chest in Bag and select the required item. Compare its full name, tier and quantity with the upgrade cost.
